Global Pharmaceutical Company
Years after the merger that formed a global pharmaceutical powerhouse, the new company was still struggling to reconcile divergent approaches to research and development. A failure to agree on common standards and processes for robotics and the production of samples, for example, was inhibiting the development of drugs in the pipeline. Through interviews with project stakeholders, researchers, and managers, as well as research in project documents, Winthrop produced a series of internal case studies that helped senior managers identify and eliminate the organizational and cultural obstacles and create a single, seamless collaborative approach to research.
